Acetylene is a colorless gas, a highly flammable gas with a characteristic odor. Acetylene is very flammable and forms explosions when mixed with air. Requires a little burner energy. Acetylene causes mild shortness of breath and is also anesthetic. In industry it is used in various fields such as:
1. Metallurgy, uses: metalizing, welding and others.
2. Agriculture, uses: the process of fruit ripening.
